That doesn’t mean we don’t have plenty of fun things to do, though. Our pleasant weather practically begs you to get outside, and biking is a fun way to stay fit and explore the area. The San Gabriel River Bike Trail offers 28 miles of paved path to enjoy, and if you don’t have your own wheels, we have several places to rent some for the day.
Taking a stroll down Main Street in Old Town is always exciting whether you’re a visitor or a lifelong resident. We love exploring the unique shops with antiques and vintage goods, home decor, and the obligatory beach and surf gear. We also have some outstanding galleries to peruse for the perfect original works, prints, or framed photos to grace your walls. The Dankha Gallery and Harvery Girl’s Gallery are two of our favorites.
You didn’t think we were going to forget to mention our beaches, did you? Seal Beach, CA, has 1.5 miles of beautiful beaches, and Mother’s Beach is an exceptional stretch of beach to spend the day. The shallow water and gentle waves in the swimming area make it an excellent spot for wading, and the modern playground equipment will keep the kiddos busy for hours.
